Welcome to the Belgian beer experience

During this English-language workshop, you’ll learn about some of Belgium’s finest beers. For those who prefer to read the information, we’ve created this page with information in English, Dutch, French, and Spanish. This way, you can easily follow along and learn more about the breweries and beers we’ll discuss.

Brewery Boon – Kriek Boon (4%)

In 1978, Frank Boon took over the gueuze distillery from René De Vits, one of the best gueuze makers of his time. Despite declining demand, Frank decided to press forward without compromising on quality. Today, Brewery Boon is one of the largest lambic breweries in Belgium.

Kriek Boon is a sweet cherry beer made with 250 grams of fresh cherries per liter, with no concentrates added. The result is a pleasantly fruity, mild taste that makes this Belgian classic unique.

Brasserie Dubuisson – Bush Pêche Mel (8.5%)

Dubuisson, Belgium’s oldest Walloon brewery, has been located on the Chaussée de Mons since 1769. Their famous Bush Caractère has been brewed since 1933. Bush Pêche Mel, a combination of Bush Amber beer with peach aroma, provides a balanced, fruity beer that is both sweet and full-bodied.

Brewery De Meester – Bak’d Blonde (7.5%)

Dirk De Meester started as a hobby brewer, but developed his passion into a true art. Bak’d Blonde is a refreshing blonde beer with fruity notes of peach and apricot, balanced with light hop aromas of citrus and blueberry. Perfect for those who enjoy a smooth, fruity taste.

Brewery De Halve Maan – Brugse Zot Blond (6%)

Brewery De Halve Maan, a family-owned company since 1856, is famous for its Brugse Zot Blond. This thirst-quenching blonde beer combines a full body with a nice bitterness and aromas of citrus, apple, and spicy notes. The taste finishes with a dry, bitter aftertaste, making it a true Bruges classic.

Brewery Van Steenberge – Gulden Draak (10.5%)

Gulden Draak, brewed by Brewery Van Steenberge, is a dark specialty beer with a robust flavor. The rich notes of caramel and malt, combined with a hint of sweetness, make this beer perfect for savoring slowly. It offers a balanced flavor experience that’s characteristic of high-quality Belgian beers.
